The NPOS Difference

Most oral surgery practices in this market aren't offering this. We are, and we've been refining it.

All-on-X is a precision technique that takes advanced 3D imaging, surgical planning, and hands-on expertise to do well. Under Dr. Singh, North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery has built a dedicated process around it, so patients who’ve been turned away elsewhere for bone loss often still qualify here.

Is All-on-X right for you?

All-on-X is most often recommended for patients who:

We’ll confirm whether it’s the right fit for you using 3D cone beam CT imaging and a full clinical exam, at your consultation, not before.

What treatment looks like

A planned, five-step process, from your first scan to your final smile.

Step 1:

Consultation & 3D planning

A cone beam CT scan maps your bone density and jaw anatomy so we can plan implant position and angle before we ever pick up a handpiece.

Step 2:

Extractions & implant placement

Remaining teeth are removed and four to six implants are placed at precise angles, often avoiding the need for bone grafting altogether.

Step 3:

Temporary teeth, same day

Most patients leave with a fixed, functional, natural-looking smile the same day as surgery.

Step 4:

Healing (osseointegration)

Over three to six months, your jawbone fuses to the implants while we monitor your progress at follow-up visits.

Step 5:

Final restoration

Your temporary teeth are replaced with a custom, permanent set matched to your shape, shade, and bite.

Frequently asked questions

The surgical appointment, including any extractions, implant placement, and attachment of temporary teeth, typically takes several hours, depending on the complexity of your case. With IV sedation, most patients are comfortable throughout and have little memory of the procedure.

With proper oral hygiene, regular dental visits, and appropriate care, the implants themselves can last a lifetime. The prosthetic arch may need maintenance or replacement after 10 to 20 years depending on wear and care.

Yes. Your final prosthesis is custom-designed to match your facial features, desired tooth shade, and natural bite. Most people won’t be able to tell the difference between your All-on-X teeth and natural teeth.

Once fully healed, All-on-X teeth function like natural teeth, including foods that are difficult or impossible with traditional dentures. A soft-food diet is required during the initial healing period.

All-on-X is specifically designed for patients with reduced bone volume. Angling the implants to engage the densest areas of the jaw often avoids the need for extensive grafting, though some cases may still benefit from it. We’ll discuss this at your consultation.

Coverage varies by plan. Our team will work with your insurance provider to determine your benefits and provide a clear cost estimate during your consultation. We also offer financing options.
