Dr. Laino grew up in the small town of Lewisburg, PA. After graduating high school, he moved to Pittsburgh where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh earning his degree in Neuroscience. After his undergraduate training, he received his D.M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he graduated as a member of OKU, the national dental honor society.
Following dental school, Dr. Laino started his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Ohio State University. During his four years of residency, Dr. Laino’s surgical training focused heavily on dental implants and bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, TMJ disorders, benign cysts and tumors of the jaw, and the delivery of safe office based IV sedation. He loves utilizing his training and skillset to improve patients’ lives through compassionate and attentive care. Dr. Laino has practiced in the Pittsburgh area since finishing his training and is now excited to join up with NPOS.
Dr. Laino is married to Christy, a Pittsburgh native. Together, they have two young daughters, Ellena and Sophia. As a family, they enjoy activities such as golf, skiing/snowboarding, working out, vacations to the beach and cheering on all the Pittsburgh sports teams.
Dr. Steven C. Licht is proud to call Pittsburgh home. Originally from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Dr. Licht graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and subsequently earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration along with a minor in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Vice President of his class, was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society Academic Excellence Award and received numerous academic scholarships for scholastic achievement.
After graduating from Pittsburgh Dental School, Dr. Licht completed a four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He was trained to provide the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis in dental implant rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, exodontia, ambulatory anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck pathology, temporomandibular joint disease, and reconstruction of hard and soft tissues. During his training at UIC, he authored several publications and presented his research both nationally and internationally at the American and International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Annual Conferences.
Dr. Licht is also passionate about mission work and volunteering. He participated as a mission team member in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, as well as a dental care team member in the Dominican Republic. He looks forward to continuing his volunteer efforts both at home and abroad with his expertise as an Oral Surgeon. Dr. Licht is excited to return to his hometown of Pittsburgh to join North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery and provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to the members of his community.
Dr. Alexander Faigen is a Pittsburgh native. He graduated from Gateway senior high school and then went on to earn a bachelors of science in biology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He then moved to Philadelphia, to complete his dental training at Temple University Kornberg school of dentistry.
After graduating summa cum laude, Dr. Faigen completed a one-year general practice residency at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania VA Medical Center, and another year of oral surgery training at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Oral maxillofacial surgery, before he began a four-year oral surgery residency at the medical College of Georgia. During his training, Dr. Faigen was educated extensively in maxillofacial trauma, dental implants both simple and complex, bone grafting, reconstructive surgery and pathology.
He’s authored several publications and book chapters as well. He looks forward to returning home to treat the members of his community, with his growing expertise in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Samir Singh is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of the prestigious American College of Surgeons (FACS). He grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from North Allegheny High School. He was recently awarded the Distinguished Alumni award in the category of Medicine. He is heavily involved in the community and continues to be. He served on the Executive Board of a local non-profit group called Every Child Inc. and served as President of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Alumni Board. He attended the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry.
He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Throughout his dental school career, Dr. Singh received several academic scholarships for scholastic achievement.
He completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center where he was trained in simple and complex implant surgery and bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, pathology and reconstruction, and maxillofacial trauma. He participated in several mission trips as part of the Missions of Mercy group helping underserved areas in Virginia as well as the Christian Broadcast Network helping children with cleft lip and palate in Peru.
Dr. Singh served as the Vice Chairman of Head and Neck Surgery at UPMC Passavant Hospital and has a faculty appointment at UPMC Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he participates in Maxillofacial trauma call at UPMC Presbyterian, Mercy and Children’s Hospitals working with and mentoring resident surgeons. Additionally, he is a healthcare consultant for several dental implant companies lecturing on full arch dental implant reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Dr. Singh is excited to be a member of the North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery family and demonstrate that he is an expert in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, who strives to provide you with the most comprehensive and expert care available!
Dr. Shawn Marsh is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Fairview High School. After receiving a B.S. in Biology, Vertebrate Physiology from Penn State University, he continued the next phase of his education and training in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Marsh earned his D.M.D. from Tufts University and subsequently completed a one year post-graduate surgical internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a four year specialized residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts Medical Center.
During his tenure in Boston, Dr. Marsh was recognized by his peers to Boston Magazine’s 2017 Top Dentists in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has co-authored publications in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society and continues to be active in both local and national surgical organizations, including the American Dental Association. In addition, he has achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Marsh is passionate about donating his time and expertise as a surgeon. He volunteered with the Ruth Paz Foundation, traveling to Honduras for a week-long clinic where he treated both children and adults in the underserved population of San Pedro Sula. As a Board Certified Oral an Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Marsh has extensive training in advanced surgical procedures and it is his goal to provide you with the most comfortable and professional experience possible.
Dr. Wayne D. Roccia is a graduate of Seneca Valley High School, Harmony, PA. He continued his education at The Johns Hopkins University, majoring in pre-medicine/natural sciences, and graduating with honors. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he served as student body president. While at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Roccia earned many awards, including the International College of Dentists Award for Idealism and Professionalism and induction into the Alpha Omega national dental honors society. In June 2008, he completed a four year specialized residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and its associated hospitals.
As an esteemed member of the medical community, Dr. Roccia is the author of several scientific publications and has lectured nationally and internationally in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Roccia has also lobbied in Washington, D.C. several times for patients rights and improvements of the health care system. Dr. Roccia is a member of many leading medical organizations, a former Chairmen of Head and Neck Surgery at UPMC Passavant Hospital, the founder of the Pittsburgh Academy of Implantology and a co-founder of the Open Wide Open Charity.
When Dr. Roccia is not supporting his four children in all of their activities, he enjoys being outside gardening, hunting, skiing, hiking and traveling with his family. As a member and former President of the Pittsburgh Christian Dental Society, he has traveled and donated his time and talents to many third-world missions, including establishing a medical and dental clinic in Belize. He also makes an annual trip to Appalachia to help those in need in our own country. Dr. Roccia is an expert in the oral surgery field. His comprehensive and expert care for his family extends equally to yours.
Curt Swogger joined NPOSA in March of 2025. Before being the CEO, Curt was the Chief Operating Officer for several large Regional Dental Support Organizations.
Over the course of his career, he has worked with large, mature organizations such as Aspen Dental, Pacific Dental Services, and Shell Global Solutions. Served in multiple leadership positions supporting the team. Fostering a culture of integrity, teamwork, and compassion. Pursuing operational excellence as well as managing several market expansions.
When he is not supporting the team and helping patients receive the care they need, he travels with his wife and three adult children to other countries. Immersing himself in the different cultures and food. He is a big fan of the cafe culture.
